Miami Heat

The Miami Heat could use another veteran with playoff experience on their roster as they will need all of the help they can get. Russell Westbrook could give them a change of pace pushing the ball down the floor as the Heat have the 4th slowest pace among all 30 teams.

Westbrook thrives on the fast break and on the open floor. Westbrook could have immediate success with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler with their selfless team-first attitudes as Westbrook and Butler are similar when it comes to mentality. Both are bulldogs on the defensive end and they both leave everything on the floor as Westbrook can add a real spark with his energy and attitude.

I can see Westbrook working the high pick and roll setting up Adebayo for easy baskets. Miami is the perfect destination for him because there are no huge egos, they have a real culture in place, they have a well-respected, seasoned veteran head coach in Erik Spoelstra and he would be playing for an organization that embraces and loves their players.

The bench play has been lackluster and the performance at the point guard position for the Heat has been underwhelming. Westbrook would be a welcomed addition to this roster.
