19. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix) – Jordan Hawkins, F, Connecticut
After the Brooklyn Nets officially hit the reset button at the NBA Trade Deadline after trading Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, this is a team that is back at square one. That means taking the best player available will be the goal at the draft.
One player that could fit that mold at this point is Jordan Hawkins. The sophomore is averaging 16 points and four rebounds on 40 percent shooting from 3-point range. The strides that he’s made in his game from his freshman to sophomore year are something that can’t be overlooked.
20. Houston Rockets (via LAC) – Jalen Hood-Schifino, F, Indiana
Jalen Hood-Schifino is another talented freshman that should be a first-round pick based on potential. He’s been productive at Indiana but the hope is that he still hasn’t hit his ceiling as a player.
The Houston Rockets could offer a soft landing spot for Hood-Schifino as he makes the jump to the big leagues.
