NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Brandon Miller hype; don’t overlook Scoot Henderson
21. Miami Heat – GG Jackson, F, South Carolina
There are certainly some concerns about GG Jackson’s game and whether he will seamlessly translate to the NBA game but the Miami Heat could be an intriguing spot for such a unique talent. At 6-foot-9, Jackson would give the Heat size and versatility that the team doesn’t have on its roster beyond Bam Adebayo.
22. Portland Trail Blazers (via New York) – Dariq Whitehead, F, Duke
Again, it’s difficult to predict how exactly the Portland Trail Blazers will approach the NBA Draft but adding talent is the goal for every team. That means taking a player with a potentially high ceiling would be a strong bet for Portland.
Dariq Whitehead is somewhat of a polarizing player but has the tools and pedigree that it would take to be a first-round pick. Maybe the Blazers take a flier on his potential.
