7. Orlando Magic (via Chicago) – Anthony Black, G, Arkansas
After selecting one guard with their first top-10 pick, don’t be surprised if the Orlando Magic take the risk to take another. This is a franchise that needs all the talent that it could get a hold of especially if they expect to take a step forward next season. Anthony Black is a player that would be worth a late top-10 selection.
Black is not as aggressive on the offensive end of the floor as Keyonte George is and offers somewhat a different array of skill sets, but they are both players that are worthy selections in the top 10. Black has the potential to be special on the defensive end and has some tools on the other end of the floor too.
Both would be projects for the Magic and you kind of have to hit on at least one of them. But these are the shots in the dark that separate a team that is able to take a tangible step forward from the ones that don’t seem to make any progress in their rebuilding efforts.
