Miami Heat

Even though the Miami Heat didn’t make a big move at the NBA Trade Deadline, you can make an argument that this is a team that is facing plenty of pressure heading into the final stretch of the season. Because of Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry, this is not a team that can be wasting away years. And that’s what it seemed to have done so far this season.

I’m not sure if the addition of Kevin Love is going to spark this team down the stretch but the hope is that it somehow can. Miami needs to figure out how to salvage this season before their disappointment carries into the offseason where the potential for big-picture questions to come the forefront.

This team clearly believes that it can still win a title with Jimmy Butler as the team’s best player. Whether you agree with that assessment or not is irrelevant. Miami needs to take a step forward during the final stretch of this season. If they can’t make the second round of the playoffs, some big changes need to be made this offseason.
