Honorable mentions

Cam Whitmore, Villanova – The Villanova Wildcats have some work to do during the next couple of weeks if they’re going to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. But that could open the door for some special moments for Cam Whitmore, arguably the team’s best player.

And as a potential lottery pick, Whitmore putting the Wildcats on his back heading into March could be what ends up separating himself from some of the other draft prospects.

Brice Sensabaugh, Ohio State – Just like Villanova, Ohio State has its work cut out for them to qualify for the postseason. But that’s where having such a talented draft prospect like Brice Sensabaugh could pay off.

Sensabaugh is averaging 17 points and five rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s an intriguing prospect that could take another step up the draft rankings if he can help the Buckeyes go on a bit of a run in March.
