2. Jarace Walker, Houston
If you have not paid much attention to college basketball this season, it may be somewhat of a surprise to know that the Houston Cougars are the No. 1 team in the country. And Jarace Walker is a big reason for the team’s success so far this season. And if they do what many expect them to do during the month of March, Walker is going to play a vital role in that.
During his freshman season in Houston, Walker is averaging 11 points and seven rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s an athletic power forward that can extend his range to the 3-point line – something that is essential in today’s NBA.
Walker may not be a headlining name at this point in the 2023 NBA Draft class, but you’d have to imagine that as he gets a bigger stage and platform (with more eyes on him) during the month of March, that will soon begin to change.
