4. Carmelo Anthony

If there are concerns about Serge Ibaka because he’s only appeared in 16 games this season, there should be even more reservations when it comes to Carmelo Anthony – he hasn’t played in any games this season. The last time that Melo played in the NBA was last year with the Los Angeles Lakers in which he looked fairly good, averaging 13 points on 44 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Nevertheless, for one reason or another, he hasn’t gotten an opportunity this season. Or not an opportunity that he’s willing to go for. It will be interesting to see if that changes at all as the playoffs quickly approach. Perhaps this is the moment that Melo has been waiting for all season?

I’d have to believe that even though Melo is 38 years old, he’s still a player that could play a role for a team that is looking for some scoring off the bench. Maybe I’m wrong but I believe that he could help a team down the stretch.
