How will the season end for the defending champion Golden State Warriors?
There are plenty of interesting storylines that have already been touched on but perhaps one of the biggest revolves around the defending champion Golden State Warriors. While I’m not sure it’s safe to count this team out, especially with how much championship experience they have, it’s looking more and more like a lost season.
However, you can’t help but wonder what awaits this team in the offseason if they do end up missing the playoffs. They already have some tough decisions to make and not making the playoffs or even losing early on in the playoffs could apply some added pressure on this team to make some tough decisions regarding its future.
In fact, I wouldn’t say that retooling or even a soft rebuild is off the table for the Warriors heading into the offseason. They have big decisions to make on Draymond Green and Klay Thompson and they won’t be easy.
The next few weeks will be particularly interesting for the Warriors, for a myriad of reasons.
