Which three teams will end the season with the best chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft?

And finally, we couldn’t end this list without a hat tip to the potential next face of a franchise – Victor Wembanyama. If it were allowed in the rulebook, I believe that there would be an all-out brawl between front offices to have a chance to draft Wembanyama. He has it all – the look, the potential, the measurables, and the production that you want from a top overall pick.

It’s pretty unanimous that Wembanyama is going to be the No. 1 overall pick and there are four teams that have the best chance of landing it right now. The Charlotte Hornets, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Detroit Pistons are fighting to finish the season with the best chances of winning the draft lottery.

The NBA did change the lottery odds in recent years. The three teams with the worst record now all have an equal 14 percent chance to win the lottery. That means one of these four teams will be left out with just a 12.5 percent chance of winning the lottery.

Either way, one of the biggest storylines to close the season will revolve around which team ends up getting the chance to select Victor Wembanyama in the 2023 NBA Draft.
