The New York Knicks have a legit big three

Historically, in order to be successful in the playoffs, teams need stars. And, more often than not, more than one star. And whether people want to admit it or not, that’s something that the New York Knicks have. As has been proven over the course of this season, the Knicks have a legit big three that continues to grow as a collective group.

Julius Randle has been sensational for the team this season and Jalen Brunson has proven he was worth the big-money deal that the Dallas Mavericks perhaps initially didn’t want to pay him. And he probably should’ve been named to the all-star team. Then there’s RJ Barrett, who even though he’s had his ups and downs this season, is still better than he gets credit for.

New York’s big three combines for 69 points, 20 rebounds, and 13 assists on average per game. To put those numbers in context, Milwaukee’s big three (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday) have combined for an average of 64 points, 21 rebounds, and 16 assists per game this season.

The Knicks may not have the top-tier talent to win a championship this season, but they absolutely have enough to make some noise in the playoffs.
