NBA Mock Draft 3.0: Spurs land Victor Wembanyama; Raptors jump into top 5
9. Portland Trail Blazers – Anthony Black, G, Arkansas
The Portland Trail Blazers are in a tough spot. They have to improve and improve quickly. Doing so with another top-10 pick may not be the best way. There’s a good chance that the Blazers end up trading this pick but if they do make a selection, Anthony Black could provide this team with another dynamic guard.
Black is averaging 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game on 47 percent shooting from the field. He does have some questions to answer when it comes to his 3-point shooting and he’ll have to do so during his pre-draft workouts.
Black could be another intriguing prospect that the Blazers can plug into their developmental system. But he’s far from a guarantee. That said, any team drafting at this point in the draft would have an easy time finding a sure thing.
