NBA Mock Draft 3.0: Spurs land Victor Wembanyama; Raptors jump into top 5
25. Indiana Pacers (via Cleveland) – Marcus Sasser, G, Houston
In the new age of the NBA, it’s quite rare when seniors are selected in the first round. But this is the rare draft where we could see two of them taken late in the first round. And the first could be Marcus Sasser out of Houston.
Sasser is a dynamic guard that is averaging 17 points per game on 43 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range. He could have a future as a sixth man for a team down the road.
26. Memphis Grizzlies – Jaime Jaquez Jr., F, UCLA
Another senior that could be taken in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft is Jaime Jaquez Jr., out of UCLA. JJJ or triple J as I like to call him is averaging 17 points and eight rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field overall.
He’s a big reason why the UCLA Bruins are right in the thick of the title picture of college basketball and could be a great addition to a team that is looking for a veteran presence in the NBA Draft.
