NBA Mock Draft 3.0: Spurs land Victor Wembanyama; Raptors jump into top 5
27. Utah Jazz (via Philadelphia) – Ricky Council IV, G, Arkansas
With another first-round pick, the Utah Jazz could get creative here. They could either package this pick for a future pick or even take two second-round picks off someone else’s hands (perhaps from a team that is looking to jump back into the first round).
Or, they could take a chance on a player such as Ricky Council out of Arkansas. The junior guard is averaging 17 points on 46 percent shooting from the field. His size and production make him a possible first-round pick.
28. Indiana Pacers (via Boston) – Jalen Wilson, F, Kansas
Again, the Indiana Pacers feel as if they are close to breaking through in the Eastern Conference. Perhaps not as title contenders but as perennial playoff contenders. This team has a solid core and will continue to build on that this offseason.
Another prospect that could make sense for the Pacers is Jalen Wilson. The junior forward is averaging 20 points and eight rebounds on 42 percent shooting from the field this season.
