2. Houston Rockets – Scoot Henderson, G, G League Ignite

Even though every team in the lottery wants to land the No. 1 overall pick and the NBA’s next generational talent, landing the No. 2 pick in this draft isn’t the worst thing in the world. Scoot Henderson is more than a consolation prize in this year’s draft. You can make the argument that in any other draft, Henderson would go No. 1.

Henderson is a dynamic guard that is already making waves with the G League Ignite. He’s proving that he is more than a capable NBA player and that he will have a great chance to be the face of the franchise one day. Perhaps that could be for the Rockets?

The Rockets have a solid core of young players already in place and adding a strong leader such as Henderson could be what it takes to get the Rockets back on the right track. For one reason or another, the Rockets have fallen off the rebuild path. However, maybe Henderson is the player this team should be building around instead.
