Philadephia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have quietly been one of the best teams in the league this season. They seem to have settled in as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and could be ready to make another deep playoff run. The duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid is nothing to look down upon and Tyrese Maxey has continued to look like a more than capable third star for the Sixers.
And the advanced stats love the Sixers, too. The Sixers have a top-10 offense, defense, and net rating. Again, they’ve been amongst the most consistent of the contenders in the league this season. It’d be foolish to not believe that the Sixers have the chance to win the NBA title this season.
The big question for this team heading into the playoffs is whether the team’s supporting cast is going to be good enough down the stretch for this team to pull off the upsets that they’ll need against the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks or Boston Celtics.
It feels as if the postseason run that is on the horizon for the Sixers could end up deciding how the team approaches the offseason. Do the Sixers have enough to finally break through in the Eastern Conference?
