It’s difficult to predict just how the Memphis Grizzlies will perform in the postseason, especially with the uncertainty that revolves around Ja Morant, but I believe that the overwhelming opinion surrounding this team is that they’re still a star away from being a true championship contender in the league.

Assuming that the Grizzlies fall short of the NBA Finals, this is a team that will likely be aggressive in their pursuits of improving the team during the offseason. And making a move for a veteran star, such as Jimmy Butler, would not be surprising by any means.

Add Jimmy to this roster and you can make an argument that the Grizzlies could be the favorites to come out of the Western Conference. Jimmy might be the exact veteran leader that the team needs to make the final jump to contention.

The only real concern that the Grizzlies could have revolves around how he would fit in the locker room. Jimmy is an old-school player that, in the past, has had difficulty coexisting with some younger players. From strictly a basketball standpoint, however, the addition of Jimmy to this Grizzlies team would be quite an interesting mix.
