Taking a closer look at six NBA teams whose blueprints could be on the line if they don’t show improvement down the stretch or make a deep playoff run.

In the NBA, it’s difficult to remain afloat as a contender. By the time you realize that your proverbial championship window is closing, it’s probably already too late and it’s already closed. This offseason, there are many teams that are likely going to have to make big decisions regarding their team builds or blueprints.

And many of those decisions will likely be dictated by what their respective teams are or aren’t able to accomplish over the next couple of months.

With that spirit in mind, let’s explore six teams whose team blueprint could very much be on the line heading into the final stretch of the season and into the NBA Playoffs.

Toronto Raptors

It’s hard to say with certainty that the Toronto Raptors’ team blueprint is completely on the line heading into the final few weeks of the regular season and into the playoffs, but it should be. I continue to maintain that there was no reason why the team decided to stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline when they could seemingly lose two of their key contributors (Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr.) for nothing during the offseason.

Nevertheless, this is a team that could be in for some big changes if they don’t show any signs of improvement heading into the playoffs.
