Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls

For a myriad of reasons, the Chicago Bulls could be at a bit of a crossroads heading into the offseason. Even more so considering the devasting news that they just got regarding Lonzo Ball. The bad news from Ball coupled with back-to-back disappointing ends to the season, and you can make the argument that it may be time for the Bulls to pivot toward another retooling. Or, perhaps, a complete rebuild.

And if that ends up being the case, I’m not sure how the Bulls can enter next season with this same exact roster. If there’s not a huge upgrade, the Bulls have to start stripping away some of the pieces of the blueprint. There’s really no good excuse or reason why they shouldn’t at this point.

And the one prized player that many teams around the league will be looking to poach away from the Bulls is Zach LaVine. If he does end up being available during the offseason, there will be a huge market for LaVine. And there’s a scenario in which the Bulls get a good enough package that it will jump-start its rebuild.

The question is, is that something the Bulls want to do?
