14. Toronto Raptors – Colby Jones, G, Xavier
The Toronto Raptors have some big decisions ahead of them. And perhaps we will get a bit of an insight into what we could expect to see from them depending on how they approach the NBA Draft. But with question marks surrounding Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., and OG Anunoby, it’s anyone’s guess as to what the Raptors will prioritize heading into the NBA Draft.
However, one prospect that would make sense and offer this team a bit of insurance heading into the free agency is Colby Jones. He’s a big guard prospect that could help fill the void if any arises for the Raptors heading into next season. As a more experienced prospect, Jones averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 51 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range during his junior season.
It’s tough to say how good of a player Jones can be at the NBA level and some believe that he could have a bit of a limited ceiling, but he’s a player that could be worth the gamble for a team in transition such as the Raptors.
