19. Houston Rockets (via LAC) – Rayan Rupert, F, France
Heading into the NBA Draft, Rayan Rupert is a prospect that is somewhat of a mystery. It’ll be interesting to see to what extent he participates in pre-draft workouts. Because if he does, there’s a very real chance that he could play his way into being a lottery pick.
Rupert has that much talent and there is plenty to like about his raw measurables.
20. Miami Heat – Dariq Whitehead, F, Duke
The Miami Heat has a lot of work to do during the offseason. They must figure out how to either retool the roster around Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo or make some difficult decisions to trade one of them. Quite frankly, they’re almost in an impossible situation heading into the offseason.
We all know how much the Heat organization loves Duke players. And with a need on the wing and in the frontcourt, perhaps Dariq Whitehead could be the next Duke product that ends up in the Heat organization. During his freshman season at Duke, Whitehead only averaged with points per game but did shoot 43 percent from 3-point range this season.
