NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Bulls land a new face of the franchise; Lakers make a trade
23. Portland Trail Blazers (via New York) – Jordan Hawkins, G, UCONN
With an additional first-round pick in this year’s NBA Draft, this is a spot where the Blazers could look to add another offensive weapon. One player that could make some sense at this point in the NBA Draft is Jordan Hawkins.
Hawkins is an excellent 3-point shooter and would have a defined role as soon as he steps onto an NBA floor. The question is if he has enough other tools to warrant him being a first-round pick.
24. Memphis Grizzlies – Maxwell Lewis, G, Pepperdine
At this point, it’s anyone’s guess as to how this season is going to end for the Memphis Grizzlies. And depending on that, it’s difficult to predict how the Grizzlies will end up approaching the NBA Draft. However, there are some questions that this team will have to answer during the offseason, aside from Ja Morant. And one of the bigger ones revolves around Dillon Brooks.
He’s slated to be a free agent after the season and there’s at least a small chance that the team elects to let him walk. In that event, it would make sense for the Grizzlies to have some added depth. One way to do that is via the NBA Draft. Maxwell Lewis could help on that front.
