6. San Antonio Spurs – Ausar Thompson, G, Overtime Elite
Knowns as the “other brother” in relation to Amen, Ausar Thompson has done quite well for himself during his lone season for Overtime Elite. He’s a player that has risen up draft boards over the last couple of months and he seems like a safe bet that he will be taken in the top 10. He’s a great athlete, like his brother, and already has a strong foundation on the defensive end of the floor.
He still has room to grow on the offensive end and he is not the playmaker that his brother is, but has potential in that aspect of his game as well. Landing in a developmental system such as San Antonio will only help Ausar and his potential growth and development as a player at the next level.
The Spurs will get a new guard that they can begin to build with and Thompson will land himself in one of the better organizations in the league. Plus, as a prospect, you have to embrace the opportunity to play for such a legendary coach as Gregg Popovich. Ausar could have a bright future in San Antonio.
