7. Charlotte Hornets – Jarace Walker, F, Houston

I’m not really sure what awaits the Charlotte Hornets during the offseason, but it’s clear that this team could be in the midst of some big changes over the course of the next several months. It’s already been reported that a majority stake of the team is probably going to be sold (by Michael Jordan) and who knows what level of impact, if any, that can have on the franchise heading into the offseason.

Nevertheless, one player that should be taken in this spot by the Hornets is Jarace Walker. This is an athletic forward that should probably be drafted higher and if he’s available for the Hornets at No. 7, there shouldn’t be much of a decision to be made.

Walker has been efficient for Houston during his freshman season and has a promising future in the NBA. It’ll be interesting to see what his ceiling ends up being as a player but the talent is there. And playing next to LaMelo Ball should be helpful for a player such as Walker. This is a pairing that would make a lot of sense for both sides.
