The Golden State Warriors have a difficult remaining schedule

The Warriors don’t have a cakewalk to close the season. In fact, of the teams that are seemingly fighting to finish as the 6th seed in the West, the Warriors have the second-most difficult schedule. Of their final nine opponents, the Warriors face four projected playoff teams (three of them on the road), two three teams fighting for their playoff lives, and then have the San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers.

I think it’s safe to say that if the Warriors are going to clinch the 6th seed in the West, they’re going to earn it. Nothing has come easy for the Warriors this season and it would be silly to expect anything different heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

To make matters even worse, this is a team that has really struggled as of late. The Warriors are just 3-6 in their last nine games. Time is running out for the Warriors this season and there’s a very real possibility that they may have to play their way into the official top 8 playoff picture.
