3. Anthony Black, G, Arkansas
It should not be a surprise that Arkansas has made it to the Sweet 16. And one of the bigger reasons why they’ve made it thus far is Anthony Black, a talented freshman that has had his moments throughout this season. Even though he’s shown signs of inconsistency, there is reason to believe in the 6-foot-7 guard prospect out of Texas.
Black has the size, length, and tools on both ends of the floor that would get any NBA scout excited. One of the bigger question marks that surround Black is his inability to prove that he can hit a consistent 3-point shot. He only shot 30 percent from deep this season at Arkansas. On the other hand, he did average 13 points and five rebounds on 45 percent shooting overall.
Black may not even be the biggest NBA Draft name on his roster (more on that in a bit), but he’s certainly a player that could end up significantly changing his draft status if he can string together a couple more good games.
He’s already done amazing things this season for his draft status and if he can create one of his own March Madness moments, perhaps he can make a jump into the top 10.
