Heading into the offseason, if there’s one team that will have the ability to get in the conversation for nearly every star player that hits the trade block, it’s the New York Knicks. This is a team that has as many draft picks to spare as you would want ideally and one that has some interesting young talent that is needed to make a blockbuster deal work. They also have the lure of New York City.

Add in the fact that this is a team that has taken a distinct step forward and there’s a legit argument to suggest that the nicks are going to emerge as an enticing landing spot for many players that are looking for a change of scenery.

Is that something that Jaylen Brown would want? Who knows, but if the Celtics get to a point this offseason where they’re open to taking calls (or bids) on Brown, the Knicks are a team that could likely offer exactly what the Celtics would be looking for.

The big question is whether or not the simple addition of Brown would make the Knicks automatic contenders in the Eastern Conference. Right now, I’m not sure if that’s a foregone conclusion but he could be worth the gamble.
