2. Houston Rockets – Brandon Miller, F, Alabama

Over the last few weeks, it’s no longer a foregone conclusion that Scoot Henderson will be the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. In fact, I believe that there’s a really good chance that by the time the draft rolls around, Brandon Miller will be the unanimous No. 2 overall prospect. The biggest reason why? Guards are somewhat a dime a dozen in this era of the NBA. The measurables that Miller has, with his skill set, are not.

Miller has had a fantastic freshman season at Alabama and has risen quickly up draft boards. He’s a 6-foot-9 wizard that has the potential to be an absolute superstar at the next level. Whether he ends up reaching his potential or not remains to be seen. But add him to an already talented core in Houston and the Rockets will be cooking with fire.

This is a franchise that has a lot of decisions to make over the course of the next few months. One of their easiest decisions, however, will come at the 2023 NBA Draft. I have a feeling that Miller will end up being the second overall prospect taken by the time June rolls around.
