6. Washington Wizards – Cam Whitmore, F, Villanova

I feel as if the Washington Wizards will no longer be making future moves with Bradley Beal in mind. If I had to guess, I would assume that he either gets traded this offseason or the next. With the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Wizards need to make a move that would have the future in mind – a future that is post-Beal. And one player that is gaining some recent traction up NBA Draft boards is Cam Whitmore.

With great size at 6-foot-7, Whitmore is another one of these big and athletic prospects that managed to just get better and better as the season went on. It may have been a down year for Villanova as a whole, but Whitmore has proven that he has the potential to be a top-10 pick in this year’s NBA Draft. And I believe he ultimately will.

Coming off a season in which he averaged 13 points and five rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field, Whitmore seems like an offensive-minded wing that could develop into a real difference-maker at the next level. And if he can prove that he has some playmaking ability that wasn’t shown much in college, his ceiling as a prospect will only rise even further.
