Brook Lopez’s phenomenal play

A huge reason for the Milwaukee Bucks’ success this season, Brook Lopez has been an anchor defensively while being a force on the offensive end as well. Since joining the Bucks we have witnessed Lopez become more of a complete [player on both ends of the floor.

In his first year in a Bucks uniform going back to the 2018-19 season Lopez became the first player in NBA history to make at least 150 3-pointers with at least 150 blocks while averaging two three-pointers made and two blocks per game.

He is putting up similar numbers this year as he currently has made 131 3-pointers and has blocked 182 shots which is a new career high for him. He is also currently ranked second in blocks per game at 2.5. He has been the perfect compliment to Giannis Antetokounmpo with his ability to stretch the floor and is the reason Antetokounmpo has more opportunities to attack the basket.

The way Lopez transformed and changed his game is amazing. He used to be a good post player who rarely ever left the painted area or ever hardly attempted a three-point shot. Now he is a three-point specialist and has become one of the top defensive centers in the NBA while his defense used to be considered a weakness.
