Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are in an interesting spot right now. They are heading into an offseason in which they don’t have much flexibility but also in a spot where they almost definitely have to make a move. Basically, the Heat needs to decide if they want to try to salvage the Jimmy Butler build or if this is a good time to pivot away from that and start a retooling around Bam Adebayo.

Either way, no matter what the team decides to do this offseason, it won’t be easy to maneuver. Unless, of course, a disgruntled star makes everything that much easier. Quite frankly, that’s probably what the team is hoping for at this point – a star to force his way to Miami to help save the day for the franchise.

I dare you to sit there and tell me that a trio of Damian Lillard, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo wouldn’t win the Eastern Conference next season. It would arguably be the best duo in the NBA and quite the interesting one.

Lillard would solve plenty of the issues that the team has in terms of 3-point shooting and the need at the point guard position. The question is, would the Heat have enough assets to get such a deal done with the Blazers?
