5. Golden State Warriors

It’s safe to say this regular season has been a weird one for the defending champs. Some people are set on counting out this team, but you can never do that. Forward Andrew Wiggins (out due to personal reasons) has missed a lot of time lately and getting him back as soon as possible for a title run will be key.

The Warriors have been very bad on the road and very good at home, so that is something they will have to figure out. The firepower on this Warriors’ team is still amongst the best in the league as they compete for a back-to-back title.

4. Denver Nuggets

Like other teams, Denver has built a really good roster around their star Nikola Jokic. With Jamal Murray back and healthy for this team, a championship is the first thing on the organization’s mind. The Nuggets also did make some nice roster tweaks and they certainly look set to do battle in the playoffs.

It seems like Jokic is well on his way to collecting his third straight MVP, so a championship run would really solidify the big man’s all-time status in the NBA. This is Denver’s best shot at a title since Jokic has been at the center of this team’s success.
