Jordan Hawkins – Rising

As a sophomore wing, Jordan Hawks is a prospect that seems to be rising and rising as we inch closer and closer to the official pre-draft process. He’s had a great season at UCONN this year and has had a couple of impressive performances in the NCAA Tournament that will only improve his draft stock. Specifically, in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, Hawkins scored a combined 44 points on 12-28 shooting from the field, including 9-19 shooting from 3-point range.

If nothing else, Hawkins has proven that he could be a lethal 3-point snipper at the next level. In the Tournament alone, he has shot 52 percent from 3-point range. Even as one of the more overlooked prospects in this year’s NBA Draft class, Hawkins continues to be a player that is emerging as a potential lottery pick.

The ultimate test of where Hawkins will be selected in the NBA Draft will come down to how he performs in individual workouts with teams. But Hawkins has good size and just enough athleticism that there will be a team that falls in love with him in the pre-draft process. And with how prolific of a shooter that he’s proven to be, would they be wrong?
