Trayce Jackson-Davis – Rising

Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Trayce Jackson-Davis was probably one of the most interesting prospects that no one was really talking about. And he continued that momentum into his Tournament play. TJD had an impressive showing in March Madness that should only fuel him toward a potential rise into the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft. At least for now, he isn’t a unanimous first-round pick. But I’d argue that he should be.

Even though he’s a bit undersized for his position, this is a player that has been a proven difference-maker at the collegiate level. And sometimes, teams just need to roll the dice on players that figure out a way to make an impact. That’s what TJD has been throughout his last three seasons at Indiana.

Specifically, during his senior season, TJD averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists on 58 percent shooting from the field. And he continued that level of play in the Tournament. In the two games that Indiana played in, TJD averaged 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and three assists on 63 percent shooting from the field.

He may not shoot threes but it’s hard to overlook his natural ability to score.
