NBA Mock Draft 6.0: Blazers jump into top 3; Mavs find Luka Doncic some help
23. Portland Trail Blazers (via New York Knicks) – Dariq Whitehead, F, Duke
As the Portland Trail Blazers prepare for a possible rebuild in life without Damian Lillard, which could happen as soon as this offseason, another potential high-potential prospect that they could target late in the first round is Duke product, Dariq Whitehead.
He’s already proven to be a quality 3-point shooter and has all the tools to be an effective defender. If he continues to grow as a player, he has endless possibilities.
24. Sacramento Kings – Maxwell Lewis, F, Pepperdine
The Sacramento Kings have made major strides this season as a franchise. This is a team that is on the come-up and no matter what they do or don’t do in the NBA Playoffs, the Kings have to feel good about where they are as a franchise heading into next season. Adding to their core will be important in not falling behind in the West, though.
One potential target that the Kings could have heading into the NBA Draft is Maxwell Lewis, a potential 3-and-D contributor. If Lewis can handle the speed of the NBA, there’s a chance that he could develop into a valuable player for a team down the line.
