Anthony Davis will propel the Lakers to the 7th seed

There’s no question that, on paper, the Minnesota Timberwolves seem like a worthy opponent for the Los Angeles Lakers in the Play-In Tournament. However, I believe that the Lakers are playing at such a high level right now that they’re going to breeze toward the 7th seed in the Western Conference. And while all the attention will revolve around LeBron James, Anthony Davis will continue his recent dominance and carry Los Angeles into the playoffs.

Even more so considering that the Wolves will likely be without Rudy Gobert (a possible suspension) and Jaden McDaniels (hand injury), two of their most important defensive players. LeBron and AD should feast on the Wolves’ frontcourt heading into their Play-In matchup.

During the month of March, AD averaged 28 points and 12 rebounds on 59 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range. I believe he’s only going to channel that level of play once again when the postseason begins.

If the Lakers are going to make a deep run in the playoffs, it will be because of AD’s play. LeBron is an important player for the Lakers, but AD is a player that can take this team to an entirely different level.
