Bold prediction No. 3: Andrew Wiggins will make a huge difference in this series

There’s still no guarantee that Andrew Wiggins ends up playing for the Golden State Warriors in this series but if he does (and that appears to be the current plan), I believe he will make a bigger impact than many are expecting. During last year’s playoff run, Wiggins was the team’s second-best player next to Stephen Curry. If the Warriors are going to make another deep run, Wiggins is going to play a big role.

Before his absence away from the team, Wiggins was averaging 17 points and five rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s also emerged as one of the most important defensive players for the Warriors since his acquisition. And they’re certainly going to need his defensive presence against a high-octane offense such as the Kings’.

I think the idea is that the Warriors will bring Wiggins along slowly and that could end up being the plan initially, but I predict that by the end of the series, if the Warriors are going to pull off the upset, Wiggins is going to once again prove his worth to the team.
