Series prediction: Celtics in 4

Heading into this series, I don’t imagine that many, if any, will be picking the Hawks to win many games against the Celtics, let alone this series as a whole. And neither do I. Can the Hawks make a couple of games in this series interesting? Absolutely. However, I believe the Celtics are going to overwhelm the Hawks from the onset. I believe that the Celtics are going to sweep the Hawks into the offseason.

Even while saying that, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hawks found a way to win a game. I’d be shocked if they won two or even three. Boston should not have much trouble with the Hawks even less so considering that they went 3-0 against them during the regular season.

The regular season is never truly a good barometer for the postseason but I can’t imagine that a team that couldn’t win one of three games during the regular season is going to turn around and win four of seven all of a sudden when the stakes are taken to another level.

The Celtics will have a great start to the postseason. Where it ends for them remains to be seen. They will make that strong first step forward, however.
