Series prediction: Suns in 6

This first-round series between the Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers has the potential to be an all-time classic. Unfortunately, I don’t believe that the Clippers will be completely healthy during this series, and because of that, they won’t be able to go toe-to-toe with the Suns. I predict that Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and the Suns will be too much for the short-handed Clippers to overcome.

The Clippers are talented and deep enough (even without PG) to make this a somewhat competitive series early on but ultimately, the Suns will outlast LA in six games. Short of an injury leveling the playing field for the Clippers, this could end up being a very telling playoff series. And if the Clippers are not that competitive, it could end up having huge implications for the future of the franchise.

For the most part, the Clippers haven’t looked right all season long. And I don’t believe that’s suddenly going to change in the postseason. Even more so considering the questions that surround PG and his availability.

The Suns and Clippers will both have their moments but I predict that Phoenix will be the team left standing after this first-round series.
