NBA Mock Draft 7.0: Spurs make shocking pick at No. 2; Blazers trade Damian Lillard
11. Oklahoma City Thunder – Gradey Dick, G, Kansas
It was a valiant effort that the Oklahoma City Thunder made during the NBA Play-In Tournament. After beating the New Orleans Pelicans in the first leg, the Thunder ran out of gas in the qualifying game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road. Either way, OKC managed to get some great experience for their young players in the postseason and still will have a pick in the lottery. It was a win-win for where this team is going heading into the offseason.
And with the No. 11 pick in the NBA Draft, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Thunder targeted a shooting wing to help this team’s mediocre 3-point shooting heading into next season. And one prospect at this point in the NBA Draft that could make sense on that front is Gradey Dick.
During his freshman season at Kansas, Dick proved that he can be a consistent shooter from deep and that he could also add a bit more than just shooting. He has the potential to be more than that on the offensive end and because of his size and athleticism, you’d imagine that he can be at least serviceable on the defensive end.
