13. Toronto Raptors – Nick Smith Jr., G, Arkansas

Heading into the offseason, the Toronto Raptors are one of the Eastern Conference teams that could be in for some huge change. As uncertainty continues to revolve around several players on their roster, there’s no guarantee as to how they will decide to approach this year’s NBA Draft. However, assuming they are looking to retool the roster a bit, there’s one prospect that could make sense at this point and with how the board has fallen.

Nick Smith Jr. is a top 5 talent but a player that has fallen down draft boards because of his inconsistent freshman season at Arkansas. Who knows if he will ever reach his pre-college potential, but Smith is a player that could be of interest to the Raptors, one of the league’s better developmental organizations.

If Toronto believes it can utilize his untapped potential, there’s a chance that he could emerge as a real steal of the draft late in the lottery. And his addition would make even more sense if Toronto moves forward with moving on from some of its backcourt.
