21. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns) – Sidy Cissoko, G, France
Equipped with back-to-back first-round picks, the Brooklyn Nets will have the luxury to get creative with how they want to approach the NBA Draft. They could package these two picks to move into the early teens or even use one to move back for a future pick or another NBA-ready asset. In short, the Nets will have a certain level of flexibility.
If they do decide to use these picks on prospects, there are several ways the Nets could go. One scenario could find the Nets targeting Sidy Cissoko, an intriguing guard prospect out of France. He’s a physical presence that is 6-foot-7 and long. He could play on the wing or perhaps even grow into a stretch-big down the line. As the Nets begin to build around Mikal Bridges, Cissoko is a wildcard potential target.
22. Brooklyn Nets – Julian Phillips, F, Tennessee
Another target that the Nets could have is Julian Phillips. This may be viewed as somewhat of a “reach” by some NBA scouts, but I believe that his potential is something that one team is going to be willing to bet on in the first round. Phillips is one of the most athletic players in this draft class and is going to make an almost immediate impact in transition and on defense.
The Nets will have plenty of options with these two picks.
