Knicks-Cavs could be an all-time classic

If Game 1 was any indication, the first-round series between the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers could end up being an all-time classic. In what ended up being a game of runs, the Knicks had the last laugh as they managed to outlast the Cavs in Game 1. However, you can almost assume that the Cavs will have an answer heading into Game 2. In fact, you can say if the Cavs had two more minutes, there’s a good chance they win that game. They’ll have a chance to prove that (and adjust) in Game 2.

The scoring duel between Jalen Brunson and Donovan Mithcell (even though they don’t really guard each other) was great to watch in Game 1 and will certainly be something to keep an eye on heading into Game 2. And whoever wins this series, there’s no question that their go-to scorer is going to have more big moments than the other.

Game 1 was quite interesting considering I fully expected the Cavs to come back and win the game. It just didn’t happen. I finally came to the realization that the Knicks could very well win this series. Even though it shouldn’t be a surprising possibility, I never truly expected it to be a real outcome between these two teams. After Game 1, it clearly is.
