NBA Mock Draft: As the 2023 NBA Draft quickly approaches, we explore four high-ceiling prospects for the Indiana Pacers to target with the 7th pick.

The Indiana Pacers are one of the young teams in the league that could be primed to make a big step forward next season. But in order to do so, it will require improving the roster this offseason. And with the No. 7 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Pacers will have another opportunity to add another quality young player.

The question is, can they find a player at No. 7 that could catapult this team up the standings in the Eastern Conference?

What are the Indiana Pacers’ biggest needs heading into the 2023 NBA Draft?

As you would expect, the Pacers struggled on both the offensive and defensive end. They were also one of the worst rebounding teams this season. On the depth chart, the Pacers could use some added depth in the backcourt and need to find a long-term frontcourt mate next to Myles Turner.

That gives us a good baseline as to what the Pacers could be looking for heading into the NBA Draft.

Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson, and Amen Thompson are almost unanimous locks to be taken in the top 5. Assuming those four players are off the board, we’ll explore four realistic prospects that could be still on the board at No. 7, that also have high ceilings, that would be great fits for the Pacers and where they’re heading.
