Anthony Black, G, Arkansas

Anthony Black is a player that could end up being drafted as high as No. 5 but there’s also a chance that he could fall to the Indiana Pacers’ laps at No. 7. And if that does end up being the case, he’s a player that should be on Indiana’s radar. The 6-foot-7 guard prospect is coming off the season in which he averaged 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 45 percent shooting from the field.

At least at this point in his career, Black is more of a distributor and a jumpstarter for the offense. Considering the amount of talent the Pacers have on their roster already, you can make the argument that Black would be a great addition. You can pluck him into the rotation and he’d find a way to fit right in. There are concerns about his 3-point shooting inconsistencies, but playing next to Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Myles Turner, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

The bigger question is whether or not the Pacers would be open to playing Haliburton more off-ball. He is so talented that it may not even be an issue but I’m not sure that’s something the Pacers may not even want to deal with.
