21. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns) – Noah Clowney, F, Alabama
With back-to-back picks, the Brooklyn Nets will be able to add a pair of solid prospects to add to their talent pool as they embark on another rebuild. Could they package these two picks and move up? Sure, I suppose that is another option for the Nets.
However, if they do end up making both these picks, one prospect to keep an eye on is Noah Clowney, a big-man prospect out of Alabama. He would add depth to this team’s frontcourt and would give the Nets another big to develop next to Nic Claxton.
22. Brooklyn Nets – Jordan Hawkins, G, UCONN
Another prospect that would make sense is Jordan Hawkins, who is coming off a sensational season at UCONN as they won a National Championship. Hawkins is one of the better 3-point shooters in this year’s NBA Draft and he would give the Nets options on the wing.
Additionally, in the event that Seth Curry doesn’t re-sign with the team, Hawkins could be re-inserted as the team’s new shooting specialist. Plus, Hawkins probably has a higher ceiling than Curry at this point in his career.
The Nets would be in great shape heading into the rest of the offseason with these two additions.
