2. Washington Wizards – Scoot Henderson, G, G League Ignite

The Washington Wizards could very well use the lifeline of earning a top 3 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. I firmly believe that after the top three picks, there is a lot of uncertainty with the prospects that are going to be taken. And that’s not really a surprise. That’s generally the common theme for many NBA Drafts. Landing the second overall pick would make life a lot easier for the Wizards moving forward.

It would give them the freedom to jumpstart toward a new build and potentially give them the ability to part ways with a Bradley Beal if that’s something they’ve been wrestling with recently. Either way, if they were to land the No. 2 pick, Scoot Henderson is the likely selection.

Henderson is an electric athlete at the point guard position that would give the Wizards a new face of the franchise. He should be a start from day 1 and will inject electricity and energy back into this fanbase if they are able to land him.

Who knows what the future holds for the Wizards, but landing Henderson in this year’s draft would make a lot of the team’s difficult offseason conversations that much easier to have.
