29. Indiana Pacers (via Boston Celtics) – Julian Phillips, F, Tennessee

Julian Phillips will need a good showing in the pre-draft process to rise up NBA Draft boards. And based on his athleticism alone, that may be something he could pull off. For now, though, I believe he’s going to be a late first-round pick, in a best-case scenario for him.

The Pacers could take a shot on Phillips at No. 29. He could develop behind a talented frontcourt group and could perhaps even play a role if he ends up being a bit ahead of his development schedule. However, I think it’s safe to say he’s a long-term experiment for the Pacers.

30. LA Clippers (via Milwaukee Bucks) – Kris Murray, F, Iowa

With the final pick of the first round, Kris Murray is a prospect that should probably be taken. And the LA Clippers could be one of the teams interested. Assuming that they don’t plan on blowing up their roster this offseason, Murray is the type of plug-and-play prospect that they could use right away.

Whether he has enough lateral quickness to be a long-term player in the NBA is a valid concern. But with as talented as he is on the offensive end of the floor, he almost has to get a shot to prove his worth.
