NBA Rumors: Exploring five teams that could steal Khris Middleton away from the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency.

Heading into the offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks are a team with plenty of uncertainty. They are two years from removing the NBA title with Giannis Antetokunmpo, but there remain plenty of questions surrounding this team heading into the 2023-24 NBA season. And it’ll be interesting to see how this offseason goes for the team.

One of the bigger questions that the Bucks need to answer this offseason revolves around Khris Middleton. He has a player option for the 2023-24 NBA season and will likely decline it in an attempt to sign a long-term deal in free agency. The leading narrative is that Middleton will decline his option to re-sign with the Bucks on a long-term deal, but that’s far from a certainty.

And there’s at least an outside chance that Middleton end up entertaining other offers in free agency. If that does end up being the case, we explore five teams that could end up prioritizing him as a free agent.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are already a team that has been linked to Middleton and in search of a veteran star, he could end up being a great fit on such a young team. He could bring a calming force into that locker room and help expedite this team’s rebuild.

Even though Middleton has struggled with the injury bug over the last couple of seasons, this is a player that when healthy, still plays at a high level. In this year’s postseason run against the Miami Heat, Middleton averaged 24 points, six rebounds, and six assists on 47 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range.
