3. Jett Howard, Michigan
Son of former NBA player Juwan Howard, Jett Howard is a player that is going to get some serious consideration to be taken in the lottery. You’d have to imagine that a lot of that will depend on how he looks in individual pre-draft workouts. At least on paper, the measurables and his productivity during his freshman season at Michigan are really good.
Howard is 6-foot-8 and has both forward and guard skills. I don’t believe he’ll play the shooting guard at the next level, but who knows? Maybe he does. During his freshman season at Michigan, Howard averaged 14 points and three rebounds per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range on seven attempts per contest.
If there’s one thing to feel good about Howard it’s the fact that he’s going to come in and not be afraid to shoot. And probably at a consistently good level. But the hope for Howard is that he continues to develop the other aspects of his game to unlock his true potential.
Howard has an all-around skill set that many expect to blossom at the next level. The question is, will he land in the right situation for a team to see that through?
